Our commitment is a concrete step towards a sustainable future: B-Lab is not just offsetting its emissions; we carefully choose the projects we support, preferring those that not only protect nature but also improve people’s lives.
In 2025, by offsetting our Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions (partial), we have decided to support the Rimba Raya Biodiversity Reserve Project because, in addition to its dedication to preserving Indonesian peat and mangrove forests, it includes numerous activities benefiting local communities, such as:
Education:
- Creation of libraries in villages and funding of three-year scholarships for deserving students.
- Since 2015, the project has supported 35 local schools.

Healthcare and Social Services:
- Implementation of a floating clinic in 2016 to provide healthcare services to 10 villages along the Seruyan River.
- Provision of nutritional programs for children and family planning services.
Employment and Livelihood:
- Programs to generate alternative sustainable income for local communities, reducing dependency on agriculture and deforestation.
The project aligns with all 17 United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), demonstrating a holistic impact on local living conditions.

It is precisely this commitment to all the SDGs that has allowed the project to earn the Sustainable Development Verified Impact Standard (SD VISta) certification.
